About Andy Shane

For me, public relations is creating compelling messages/stories for the appropriate audience. The audience can be internal or external. In my cough 20 plus cough years of experience I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with a number of great, smart, strategic people on both the agency and corporate side o’ things.

My work has taken me to the Sydney and Salt Lake Olympics, NYSE, NASDAQ, and more than my fair share of Britney Spears’ concerts. I was part of the World’s Largest Latte and worked on awareness campaigns for the Community Olympic Development Program (CODP) and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

I’ve conducted more than 100 spokesperson training sessions – or as I refer to it as a Strategy of Answering Questions and have developed the internal and external messaging for two bankruptcies and the resulting emergences for the same publicly-traded company.

Clients have appeared on Oprah, Today, USA Today, Time, Newsweek, NY Times, WSJ, Good Morning America and most every daily newspaper (print and online edition) across the country.

According to Andy Shane’s LinkedIn, my specialties are: Public Relations; Media Relations; Marketing; Strategic Planning; Spokesperson Training; Crisis Management; Reputation Management; Social Media; Client Communications; Celebrity/Spokesperson Contract Negotiations; Special Events/Promotions Development and Coordination. If you go by me, I am a father, husband, son and friend (and brother, uncle, etc). Feel free to follow me on Twitter.
